A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to the hard drive when users visit them. A cookie can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages users visit. However, the only information a cookie can contain is information provided by users. Cookies can neither read data off a user’s hard drive nor can they read cookie files created by other sites.
Roos Only uses cookies to track user traffic patterns and also for the customization feature. When users register themselves, Hosted Solutions uses a cookie to store a unique random user ID. We do not store passwords or any other personal information about users. This unique user ID is used to identify users’ anonymity in our database and track the pages visited at our site. Cookies also enable users to enter the website and use the services as a member without having to log on every time.
If the user’s browser is set to warn them before accepting cookies, they will receive the warning message with every cookie. Users can refuse cookies by turning them off in their browser. Users need not have cookies turned on to use any Roos Only website.
